Black Mirror, the tremendously popular British sci-fi series that blew up on Netflix, is releasing a standalone movie! Titled ‘Bandersnatch’, the movie will stream exclusively on Netflix tomorrow (Friday Dec 28th).
“In 1984, a young programmer begins to question reality as he adapts a sprawling fantasy novel into a video game and soon faces a mind-mangling challenge”, describes Netflix.
Want a little bit of trivia? The word ‘Bandersnatch’ was first mentioned in Lewis Carroll’s poem ‘Jabberwocky’, which appears in his 1872 novel ‘Through the Looking’Glass’. You know… the Lewis Carroll that wrote the Alice and Wonderland books. The Bandersnatch was a fictional creature described as ferocious and extraordinarily fast, and as having a long neck and snapping jaws. This is not to say that there is any connection whatsoever with the two Bandersnatches, but watching the Netflix movie would clear up any wondering for sure…
Take a look at the trailer below! Is it Friday yet???
