Today is the day to write! October 20th is “National Day On Writing”, an initiative of the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE).
National Day On Writing is built on the premise that writing is critical to literacy, but needs more attention and observance.
So what should you do today? Write something! Grab a piece of paper or a journal. Write a short story. Or a long one! Write a poem. Or a song. Or a thought. Any thought! Let your mind run wild and get creative. Ramble (on paper… or in a word document). Write something on Facebook or send a special text.
Just write. Have fun with it and enjoy it.
Happy writing y’all!
