Charles Bradley’s Posthumous Album to be released in November: ‘Black Velvet’.

In celebration of Charles Bradley’s life, his fourth and final album Black Velvet will be released on November 9th. Bradley would have been 70 years old this November (he passed away September 2017). 

His music encompassed funk and soul from the 60s and 70s. A review from Paste Magazine once said he “echoes the evocative delivery of Otis Redding”. 

The material on Black Velvet bridges over Bradley’s entire career, new songs recorded during sessions from each of his three albums and even exclusive covers of rock classics like Nirvana’s “Stay Away” and Neil Young’s “Heart of Gold”.
