Glenn Close made quite the statement at the Oscars last night. Her dress was adorned in beads… 4 million of them! Yes, 4 million beads. She was glittery, sparkly and very gold in her Carolina Herrera gown which weighed a hefty 42 pounds. The 71-year old Close must be in good shape to be able to pull that off. We see you Glenn! You go girl! She looked lovely!
Unfortunately, Glenn did not win last night. She holds the record for most Oscar nominations with no wins and social media is not happy about it. This was her seventh Academy Award nomination, this nomination being for The Wife. What gives?
Although she did not win an Oscar last night, she’s still a huge winner this season! She has taken home awards from the Golden Globes, the Independent Spirit Awards, the Critic’s Choice Awards and the SAG Awards.
