Nicki Minaj Offers to Help Her Homeland Trinidad After Severe Rains

Nicki Minaj, a Trinidad native, has said she will help out after heavy rains caused damage and flooding over the weekend. 

Over 120,00 people are estimated to have been affected by flooding in Trinidad and Tobago. Thousands of people have been displaced and parts of the island are still inaccessible. 

Trinidad and Tobago’s Prime Minister Keith Rowley declared the damage a national disaster and says he will seek $25 million (TT) in aid from the Cabinet, which equals $3.7 million USD. 

“Trinidad, I am working on getting many different resources to you now…” tweeted Nicki Minaj. See two of her tweets below. 

Fortunately, there have been no fatalities. Our thoughts are with T&T.
