Students were evacuated from Mill Valley Middle School on Tuesday morning after the school received a bomb threat. The Mill Valley Police Department announced that all of the students were safely evacuated. The students have been moved to the Mill Valley Community Center where their parents are able to pick them up.

According to the police, residents within a half-mile radius of the school have been asked to shelter in place while authorities investigate the incident.

Raquel Rose, the interim superintendent of Mill Valley School District sent an email to parents letting them know, “This is not an active shooter threat”.  She said she does not know when classes will resume yet though, as they are waiting until they can confidently be assured that the school is safe.
