Forbes reports that most consumers plan to skip Black Friday this year. According to a recent survey by OpenX and The Harris Poll, most people find Black Friday overwhelming and many will shop online instead. Trends show that holiday shopping has shifted and stores will definitely need to keep up with customer trends if they want to have a successful season.
Black Friday has been considered one of the largest and busiest shopping days of the year for a long time, but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. Consumers will look to Cyber Monday deals instead. Although shoppers will likely be researching and shopping for products on their mobile devices rather than camping out for Black Friday deals, it doesn’t mean that all shoppers will shy away from Black Friday. It just means that many consumers will be doing a bit of both online and in-store shopping.
Retailers can bring in and keep satisfied customers by making sure their online services and experiences will live up to customer’s expectations. The competition is fierce, especially during this time of year, so brands should make sure their online shopping experience exceed expectations. See more here: Forbes – Consumers and Black Friday.
