Users worldwide have reported partial outages on all of the Facebook apps – the core app, Instagram and WhatsApp. Some of the user issues include logging in and posting. The outages seem to have started sometime around 10 a.m.
Facebook hasn’t given a reason or cause just yet, but the company has acknowledged the problem. “We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing the Facebook family of apps.” … “We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.”
The issue has caused significant disruption for some businesses, as it has affected Facebook Workplace, a service used to communicate internally.
Many people have taken to Twitter. “Look at what happens when we let one company control everything…”, one user wrote.
Others have taken to Twitter to joke and post memes about the outage.
